UNIFY THE IT SYSTEM, EQUIP THE TEAMS, PREPARE THE FACTORY OF TOMORROW

In this interview filmed on the IFS stand, Éric, ERP project lead at SKF Magnetic Mechatronics (S2M) — an SKF group division specializing in frictionless magnetic bearings, founded in 1976 — presents the rollout of IFS Cloud across the group's newer sites in Morocco and Dubai. The discussion covers the distinct challenges of each site: in Morocco, a rapidly growing plant (from 50 to more than 300 employees expected by the end of 2026, moving to three production shifts a day) where the priority is standardizing tasks and quickly upskilling many new hires using the POCA connected worker tool; in Dubai, a young service entity exposed to regional instability, with repair activity expected to grow. Éric explains how IFS Cloud is meant to streamline flows between group entities (France, Canada, Morocco) through a distributed MRP, removing the administrative burden tied to classic customer-supplier relationships between subsidiaries. The conversation also touches on skills management, document traceability per manufactured machine, asset management, and emissions reporting, as well as IFS's modular approach, which allows a deployment to start quickly and expand progressively.
