The discussion covers: the TDF case — 9,000 infrastructures (towers, rooftops), 250 technicians, 5 million kilometers traveled every year, and a digital twin (scanning, virtual visits, BIM connected to IT systems and IoT) to end "Kleenex data"; the Suez case — turning construction BIM into operational BIM across 650 km of sanitation networks in Hauts-de-Seine, when an asset lives 100 to 150 years; the researcher's warning — in a complex system, more detail does not mean more reliability, and digital twin validation remains a crucial unsolved problem; AVEVA/Numeum's figures — 26% more data every year, nearly 70% of it unused; and the keys to convergence: interoperability, ongoing ISO standardization (the term itself is not yet standardized), data governance, frugality and a refusal of technological naivety.
