Cybersecurity and the Industrial Supply Chain: From On-the-Ground Reality to Strategic Choices
When a robotic system replenishes every Decathlon store in Europe or all Renault spare parts in France, downtime is not an option. In this session recorded at the Tech for Industry Show, Pascal Ferard (Head of Cybersecurity, Exotec) and Jérémy Rozenblum (sales team, Exotec) explain how this French warehouse robotics manufacturer turns cybersecurity into a strategic differentiator.
The talk covers: logistics' strategic role in the supply chain — from component storage to finished goods —, the Skypod system architecture (robots, WiFi, servers, WMS via API) and its attack surface; the risks addressed, starting with unavailability, and the concrete answers: resilience through master-slave redundancy, three control centers worldwide covering all time zones (90% of incidents resolved remotely without the customer noticing), real-time monitoring and permanent backup of stock state; compliance — ISO 27001 certification, SOC 2 Type 2 report, NIS 2 (Exotec, an important entity, ~80% compliant) and the Cyber Resilience Act (mandatory from 2027 to keep the CE marking); the security-by-design strategy as a sales argument and "entry ticket"; the sovereignty dimension (R&D and manufacturing in France); and a closing look at AI as both accelerator and risk, with an AI-based cyberdefense program.
An essential session for supply chain, logistics, CISO and manufacturing leaders.
